Why Total Hockey?

First and FOREMOST - Total Hockey has designed a “Fun, Positive & Challenging” program (players look forward to coming and have the right mindset to maximize training time) that is affordable and beneficial to all players.

Total Hockey is not focused on improving a player’s bench press or vertical jump. Total Hockey will improve a player’s hockey vision, puck skills and first-step skating quickness. There is a direct relationship between the movement of the game and the design of the Total Hockey Training System. There are no wasted movements. Players participate in challenging progressive drills that force them to simultaneously move their feet while handling a puck and working on their vision skills. Total Hockey also combines on ice sessions with many of our development programs throughout the year.

We work ALL Core Hockey Skills improving the player’s TOTAL game.

ALL ages and ability levels benefit from Total Hockey’s training protocols. Total Hockey provides an equal opportunity for A, B or C players, boys or girls to develop their skills and reach their full potential. Improved skills help players enjoy the game more and stay playing longer.

Total Hockey on ice and off ice programs are designed by Dean Talafous, who has played at the highest level (NHL) and has been a head coach in the top college league (WCHA) in the world.

Coaches and Parents are able to learn ideas on how to work on key skills at home or at the rink.

Total Hockey technology allows the tracking of progress in key areas (skating, shooting, stick-handling, multi-tasking and more). This system allows for immediate feedback to a player on their improvement and performance.

We have our own engineers, so new ideas and technology are constantly be discovered and tested because of our passion for the game, and making players better.
